The Values That Shape Us

These are the values that shape how we do church, how we love people, and how we chase after God together.

01/

You Belong

We are an inclusive "come as you are" culture that operates under this condition; you belong before you believe what we believe or behave how we behave. [John 3:16; Matthew 9:12-13]

02/

Life Together

Lives flourish in the context of community. We prioritize living life together and refuse to let anyone do life alone. [Luke 14:23]

03/

Serve Everyone

Regardless of life circumstance, race, economic status, belief, or background, we choose to serve and honor in our city and surrounding community.
[John 12:26]

04/

Be Excellent

We don’t do things halfway. Our best is the standard and our way of communicating how excellent God is. [Colossians 3:23]

05/

Laugh Often

We refuse to take ourselves too seriously and love to celebrate. Life should be enjoyed, and so should church. We will always look for a way to celebrate in every way and bring fun to every environment. [Proverbs 17:22]

06/

Live Generously

We truly believe it is better to give than to receive; to serve rather than to be served. We are lavishly generous with our time, our resources, our talents, and we look to serve others at all times with what we have. [Acts 20:35]

Our Heartbeat: Reviving Souls. Renewing the City

In 2021, Pastor Ariel and Nancy didn't have a building or a budget, but they had faith that God could build something powerful. And He’s been doing just that ever since: Lives are transformed, marriages are healed, and people are discovering they’re made for more than they could imagine.

Frequently Asked Questions

GOD

We believe in the one true God, eternally existing in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and of one divine essence, yet distinguished by their personal relations and roles.

1. The One True God:

(Deuteronomy 6:4) - "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one."  (Isaiah 45:5) - "I am the LORD, and there is no other; besides me there i s no God."  (1 Corinthians 8:6) - "Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist."  (James 2:19) - "You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe and shudder!"

The Distinction in Roles

The Father (unbegotten, source, sender)

John 3:16-17 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son... For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." 1 Corinthians 8:6 - "...one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist..." Ephesians 1:3-6 - The Father is the one who chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world.

The Son (eternally begotten, redeemer, mediator)

John 1:1-3, 14 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." Philippians 2:5-11 - The Son humbled Himself to the point of death and is exalted above every name. Hebrews 1:1-3 - The Son is "the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature." John 5:19-23 - The Son does what the Father does, and the Father gives all judgment to the Son.

The Holy Spirit (proceeds, empowers, sanctifies)

John 14:26 - "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." John 15:26 - "When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me."  (Romans 8:9-11) - The Spirit dwells in believers and gives life.  (1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 11) - The Spirit gives spiritual gifts as He wills. God the Holy Spirit, convicts the world of sin and draws us to the Father (John 16:8); He baptizes us into the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:13); He leads us to truth (John 16:13); He counsels us (John 14:16); He teaches us (John 14:26); He empowers us (Acts 1:8); He continually fills us (Acts 4:31, Gal. 5:16-25, Eph. 5:18); He distributes gifts to every follower of Christ (1 Cor. 12:4-11). The fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) are the by-product of a Spirit-filled life and evidence of spiritual maturity.

All Three Together (Trinitarian unity)

Matthew 28:19 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." 2 Corinthians 13:14 - "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." John 14:16-17 - Jesus asks the Father, who sends another Helper (the Spirit).  These passages show both God's oneness and the distinctions of the Persons in their roles, without implying inequality.

THE BIBLE

The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without error. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13 & 2 Peter 1:20-21).

HUMAN BEINGS

People are created in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character (Genesis 2:26). Although every person has the potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” By a voluntary act of the will, Adam and Eve disobeyed God (Genesis 3:6). That first sin had several repercussions. Adam and Eve were excommunicated from the garden of Eden (Genesis 3:23), a curse was pronounced (Genesis 3:14-19), the process of physical death began (Genesis 2:17), and man died spiritually (Romans 5:12-19). Sin separated humankind from God (Ephesians 2:11-18) and left man in a fallen or sinful condition (Romans 3:23), thus separating man from God.

SALVATION

Salvation is God’s free gift available to anyone willing to accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty (Acts 4:12 & John 14:6). Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty of our sins (1 Peter 2:24). He offers each of us a pardon for our sins (Hebrews 9:26) and wants us to become children of God (John 1:12). When we put our faith in Christ, it triggers a spiritual chain reaction. We become the Temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). Our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 3:5). We become citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20- 21). We are given eternal life (John 3:16). We are adopted and become children of God (Galatians 4:4-7). Our sins are forgiven and forgotten (Hebrews 8:12). We are credited with the righteousness of Christ (Romans 4:4-5). We are born-again (John 3:3). God takes ownership of us (1 Corinthians 6:20). We receive an eternal inheritance (Ephesians 1:13-14 & 1 Peter 1:3-5). We become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).

THE CHURCH

The Church is the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) committed to worship God (1 Cor. 12:13), share the redeeming hope of Christ with the world (Acts 1:8 & Mark 16:15-16), and to equip the community of faith to serve others and bring about transformation in society (Ephesians 4:11-16 & 1 Cor. 12:28, 14:12).

WATER BAPTISM

The Scripture teaches that all who repent and believe in Christ are to be baptized (Matthew 28:19). Baptism is a public profession of faith in Christ. It is symbolic of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. It is a declaration to all that we have died to sin and have been raised to walk in new life in Christ (Romans 6:4).

COMMUNION

Communion consists of two elements: the bread and the cup. Those elements are symbolic of the body and blood of Christ. Communion is a memorial of Christ’s sufferings on the cross and a celebration of our salvation (1 Cor. 11:17-34).

MARRIAGE

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to be between one man and one woman, as He created them—male and female from birth (Genesis 1:27, Matthew 19:4-6). Marriage is a reflection of Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:25-32) and serves as a lifelong commitment of love, unity, and faithfulness (Genesis 2:24). Scripture affirms that God ordained marriage as the only rightful expression of sexual intimacy (Hebrews 13:4) and that any deviation from His design falls outside of His will (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
